Just as Simone Biles suffered from "the twisties" in the last Olympics, many of us are struggling with the ups and downs of current events and stress of our own daily lives. Come along for a refreshing and immersive study in Jesus' invitation to "the good life", in the ultimate campaign trail, his Sermon on the Mount (Matthew 5-7). Jesus leads the way to right-side-up living that brings life and peace to our souls and ripples outward to our families and communities. Featuring Matthew 5-7, "The Narrow Path" by Rich Villodas and The Bible Project Podcast series "sermon on the Mount". Group will be led by Angela Hougas and be at St. John's Church in the Welcome Area on Mondays from 11:30am - 1:00pm, September 9, 2024 through February 10, 2025, and feel free to BYO Lunch. Never read the Bible? Curious how different parts connect to the greater narrative and how they relate to our lives today? Join Pastor Tom on Tuesdays at 9:00 a.m. at St. John's as we take a deeper dive into the Bible and the past week's sermon, based on the churchwide series "the big picture". All are welcome, including those who have not been part of our Tuesday morning Bible study in the past. No need to sign up, just join us!

St. John’s is preparing for an exciting future as we grow, including our plans to call an associate pastor! We invite you to pray for God's guidance, get involved by volunteering or joining a group, and consider filling out a pledge card to support our mission financially. In addition to your regular contributions, we have received a $50,000 matching gift—your additional gifts to the "Vision Match Fund" between now and April 30, 2025, can help double this impact. High school students are invited to join youth leaders the FIRST Wednesday of the month for a personalized small group session. Leaders will provide pizza and discussion relevant to the students' lives. EVERY.FIRST.WEDNESDAY. runs from 7:30 - 9:00 p.m. Feel Free to invite a friend as well!

Join us St. John’s on November 10 from 9:30-11:30 a.m. for our monthly meal. This month’s meal is Thanksgiving inspired with turkey dressing sandwiches, cranberry sauce, breakfast potatoes, and other fall treats! Come hungry and bring a friend.

St. John's Students will meet this month and enjoy a pot luck style Friendsgiving while enjoying relevant conversation about faith and life. Steve & Matt will provide the main course for the Friendsgiving meal. Students are asked to bring their favorite Thanksgiving side dish or dessert to pass (approximately 20 guests). In an effort to create a safe food environment for all of our students, we ask for no nuts at this meal. Thank you for understanding!

Join us for worship on Wednesday, November 27 at 6:00 p.m. for our annual Thanksgiving Eve Worship service as we gather together to thank God for our many blessings - then after worship, stick around for our annual Pie Fest! Bring a pie, as all the extras will be donated to The Walworth County Thanksgiving Meal.

Looking for a way to give back this Christmas season? The St. John's Giving Tree offers many opportunities to give directly to those in need. Beginning November 27 (Thanksgiving Eve), the tree will be located just outside the Welcome area and available online. The Giving Tree includes ornaments for local foster families, Kenya Missions (food baskets and child education scholarships), and Safe Families. Instructions and due dates for each gift will be provided when you sign up.

We're going to QUAKE! Quake organizes incredible retreats each year that encourage teens to become established in their faith, empowered for Christian living and enabled to live a life of ministry and leadership. The 2025 Quake theme is “ENOUGH”, based on Jesus’ words in John 3:16. Wes Halula will be speaking, joined by musical guest 100 White Flags, and all hosted at the incredible Wilderness Resort and Waterpark in Wisconsin Dells.
