Thank you to everyone who helps make Sunday mornings so welcoming by serving as ushers, greeters, communion attendants, and through fellowship. You truly help make St. John’s feel like home for both guests and members. To make serving easier and more sustainable, we’re making a small change to our schedule. Unless you’ve shared otherwise, everyone who is signed up to serve will now be scheduled one Sunday per month. If you’d like to serve more often, or if there are other roles you’d enjoy helping with, please let us know—we’d love to have you! Questions? Never read the Bible? Curious how different parts connect to the greater narrative and how they relate to our lives today? Join Pastor Tom on Tuesdays September - May at 9:00 a.m. at St. John's as we take a deeper dive into the Bible and the past week's sermon, based on the churchwide series "the big picture". All are welcome, including those who have not been part of our Tuesday morning Bible study in the past.

Come at 10:30 AM to catch up with old friends and meet new ones over coffee. The program runs 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM, will include a catered lunch, and this month's theme is Let's Celebrate God's Creation with Earth Day! All are welcome — bring a friend.

High school students - you're invited! Join youth leaders on the first Wednesday of every month for a personalized small group session. We'll bring the pizza, you'll bring your thoughts - and together, we'll dive into meaningful discussions that connect with your everyday life. E.F.W. runs from 7:30-9:00 PM. Bring a friend - we'd love to see you there!

Together we will explore what it means to create space for God, for one another, and for the future God is shaping among us. This isn’t simply about buildings or plans—it’s about becoming the kind of people who live with open hearts, open lives, and open hands so that more people can be known by God. Come as you are and experience MORE together.

Mother's Day is a unique opportunity to celebrate the way God brings each person into the world—through the arms of a mother. Join us May 10 as we honor the day with space for gratitude, loss, and hope. After services, stick around for an Ice Cream Social, a photo booth, and more. Invite someone you love and worship with us!

Join St. John’s Students on May 20 from 6–8 PM for a laid-back night to celebrate an awesome school year and kick off summer break the right way! 🌅 We’ll have yard games, a chill hangout vibe, and plenty of time to relax with friends around the grill. 🌭🍔 Hot dogs and burgers will be served for dinner—just bring yourself (and your appetite)! And don’t come alone… bring a friend! 📅 Every. Third. Wednesday. Let’s end the year strong and step into summer together! ☀️

We all carry more beneath the surface than we let on: old wounds, buried emotions, and parts of ourselves we've never invited God into. In Beneath The Surface, we will explore the deep connection between emotional health and spiritual maturity—because the truth is, we can't be spiritually mature while remaining emotionally stuck. Guided by Scripture and insights from Pete Scazzero's book Emotionally Healthy Spirituality, we'll learn to slow down, look within, and let God transform not just what we believe but how we actually live and love. Join us this summer as we discover that the path to a deeper life with God runs straight through the heart.

Outdoor Worship is BACK this summer—once a month at the Sunset Park Bandshell at 10:00 a.m.! Come enjoy worship in the beauty of God's creation with special event Sundays all summer long. June 21 is Father's Day featuring Touch-a-Truck with hot dogs and brats. July 19 is Pet Blessing Sunday with Lakeland Animal Shelter. August 16 wraps up the summer with a churchwide picnic and baptisms. Just bring a lawn chair, your Bible, and a friend, and join us at the park! (Note: 8:30 a.m. Traditional Worship will continue to be held indoors and online.)
